Announcing the Private Beta of our new AppFog Private Cloud Solution
As you probably know, we have been hard at work here at AppFog HQ. One of our big concerns has been our brothers in arms at Enterprise companies around the world. Devs at Fortune 500 companies everywhere have been asked to do more with less. Sometimes they sneak around their boss and put AppFog in production without even consulting them.
Well… I am incredibly excited to let you know that AppFog is now available for your Private Cloud usage. If you are currently working with, or just beginning to consider on-premise cloud solutions, you can now use AppFog! And if you are using AppFog to manage your apps deployed on public cloud infrastructures, you can leverage it to span across it all in a horizontal hybrid manner.
This is something we have been working on for quite a while now, and we think that this represents the next evolution in Platform-as-a-Service. Being able to easily deploy apps to a multi-tenant public cloud infrastructure––and then easily scale them––was super cool. You know what’s cooler? Being able to do your deploys and management across all types of infrastructures, from public AWS or Rackspace to Hybrid HP to on-premise OpenStack, etc. One interface, one platform, one toolset to rule all your clouds!
Our initial release will be a private beta for select customers only.
AppFog delivers a battle-tested PaaS that has stood up to over 100,000 deployed applications for mobile, social, and consumer web applications using Java, .NET, Node, Ruby, Python, PHP and more.
If you are working at a company that has deployed or will be deploying Private Cloud technologies (OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Eucalyptus, etc), are currently using AppFog, and are interested in being part of our exclusive Private Cloud offering, we would love to hear from you, please fill out the signup form.
We are particularly interested in companies looking to deploy enterprise-class production workloads in an on-premise or hybrid cloud environment.
This is going to be very cool and we can’t wait to get going with this!
